Unseeing

Quill Kipps.

I was duly annoyed by this character through books 1 and 2. And even though book 2 gave some insights on how he feels being an agent who has grown out of his Talent, I still thought little of him.

Until in book 3 it was actually him who proposed an alliance between the Lockwood and the Fittes teams AND he went straight into the haunted house like a non-grown-up agent would!

Can you imagine just how brave he is? Underneath all his annoying arrogant behaviour. I'm amazed at how Jonathan Stroud presents his characters!

This picture shows a hypothetical scene of Quill Kipps realising the can't see ghosts anymore. (Somehow I think his Talent was Sight. He seems a very Sight person to me.)
